Manage an incredibly successful ice cream store, working closely with the owner to expand the business. Looking for someone with deep culinary expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and hire all staff, setting standards of hospitality and a joyful work environment

  • Participate in creation of new menu offerings  - there is an opportunity to innovate here!

  • Determine staffing plan and hours

  • With owner, determine goals for business growth 

  • Ensure that menu offerings are prepared consistently with high quality 

  • Maintain a clean, sanitary environment that is attractive to customers

  • Manage daily front and back of house operations

  • Develop knowledge of soft serve machine common problems and train staff 

  • Build relationships with suppliers

  • Accurately maintain records of inventory, determine what needs to be ordered, and ensure orders are completed on time and received correctly

  • Maintain and create efficient and repeatable processes for day-to-day operations, including management of POS, that allow tracking and continuous improvement

  • Assist with HR systems for payroll and team benefits

  • Maintain positive relationships with staff and community

  • Ensure business complies with all laws (including employment laws)

  • Able to jump in to help in any role as needed

  • Report directly to the business owner and works closely with the business owner

Qualifications

  • Attributes: Empathy, Curiosity, Flexibility, Responsiveness, Attention to Detail, Efficiency/Optimization mindset, Commitment to Excellence

  • 4+ years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of front of house service in the restaurant industry. 

  • Ideal candidate has a passion for production with a culinary background

  • Able to work in a standing position for up to 5 hr

  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift 50 pounds

  • Working knowledge / Ability to learn Google Docs, Forms, Drive, and Sheets + Toast POS

  • Preference for culinary or hospitality degree

  • ServSafe certification required (can be obtained after hiring)

  • Preference for local candidates 

  • Fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19 with willing to wear N95 mask as needed

  • Loves soft serve ice cream!
